We are hiring a Founding SDR to help build the outbound sales function for Vantage, Profile’s new SaaS platform for professional services firms.

Profile is a multi-award-winning PR and communications agency. We are launching Vantage, a new SaaS platform for professional services firms, and we are looking for an ambitious Founding SDR to lead outbound from day one.

This is Profile’s first dedicated sales hire. There is no existing outbound function, and no inherited playbook to follow. You will have the opportunity to shape how we sell, how we build pipeline, and how Vantage goes to market.

If you are a fast-paced, commercially minded salesperson who would rather build something from the ground up than inherit someone else’s process, this could be the role for you.

The role

You will own multi-channel outbound for Vantage. Your job will be to identify the right professional services firms, reach the right decision makers, start meaningful conversations, and book qualified meetings that convert into pipeline.

You will work closely with the Marketing Manager day to day, and partner directly with the CEO once meetings convert into demos and proposals. The senior team will take demos and proposals forward. Your focus is the top of the funnel, and you will own it.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is excited by autonomy, experimentation, and the chance to help build a sales function from scratch.

Responsibilities

  • Own and build outbound pipeline from day one

  • Research, identify, and contact relevant individuals at target professional services firms

  • Run multi-channel outbound across email, LinkedIn, phone, and other relevant channels

  • A/B test sales messaging, processes, and outbound channels

  • Book qualified meetings with relevant decision makers

  • Hand over qualified meetings to the senior team for demos and proposals

  • Help define our ideal customer profile, qualification criteria, and outbound playbook

  • Partner with Marketing to automate workflows and identify buying intent signals

  • Maintain clean, accurate CRM data

  • Use sales tools and AI tools to sharpen research, targeting, personalisation, and outreach

  • Share feedback from prospects to help improve messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy

  • £35,000+ base salary, depending on experience

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or other outbound sales role

  • A persuasive, confident communication style

  • The ability to build rapport quickly with senior decision makers

  • A target-driven mindset and genuine hunger to hit and exceed numbers

  • Resilience when handling objections, rejection, and fast-moving sales cycles

  • An ambitious, self-starting approach

  • Excitement about building a sales function without relying on a pre-written playbook

  • Strong organisation, discipline, and attention to detail

  • Experience using outbound, CRM, and sales engagement tools

  • Comfort using AI tools to improve research, targeting, and outreach

Particularly beneficial, but not essential

  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing environment

  • Experience selling SaaS, marketing, or media services into professional services firms

  • Familiarity with sectors such as law, accountancy, consultancy, or wider professional services

  • Understanding of PR, thought leadership, or how professional services firms market themselves

  • Experience contributing to an outbound playbook at an early-stage company

  • Longer-term ambition to grow into a sales leadership role
